Why can't I login?
You must have cookies enabled on your computer in order to login to EquallyMatched and use the Christian dating service.

I forgot my username and/or password. How can I find them again?
Go to lost password, and on this page you can enter your e-mail address that you signed up with and your username and password will be sent to that e-mail address..

If you do not know the e-mail address you gave when you registered with EquallyMatched.com, Christian dating service you can email us at support@EquallyMatched.com and give us your name and we will locate it for you.

You can also click on "Forgot your username or password?" at the bottom of all the sign-in boxes.


How do I change my username and/or password?
You cannot change your username.

To change your password, sign in to EquallyMatched, click on "Account Settings", then click the "Change My Password" link and complete the subsequent screens.


How does the automatic sign-in feature work?
Our automatic sign-in feature allows you to be instantly recognized when visiting EquallyMatched. To use this feature, check the box next to "Automatic Login" when logging in to EquallyMatched. The next time you visit the Christian dating service, you'll automatically be remembered.

How do I create a profile?
Click here to join and once inside the members area you will see a manage profile link and can create your profile from there.

Just remember, that the more information you add to your profile now, the better chance you'll have of meeting the perfect match!


Can I have multiple profiles?
No you can have only one profile.


What are the guidelines for my profile?
Because we care about creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere for our users, we personally review all photos before they are made visible to other Christian singles.

We are sensitive to your desire to see your new photo appear in your profile quickly, so we make our best effort to review all photos within 24 hours of submission.

Our software is configured in such a way that profiles, smiles, favorites, instant messages, and the forum can't contain the following:

  Abusive, explicit or sexual language
  Direct contact information such as, e-mail addresses, mailing addresses, website addresses
  All curse words are banned.

If you see a profile that you suspect violates our approval guidelines or that you think is inappropriate for a Christian dating service, please contact us immediately at abuse@EquallyMatched.com and include the username associated with the offending profile.


When will my profile be visible to other users?
Your profile will be visible to other members as soon as you complete it, if you have added a photo to your profile, it will go through our screening and approval process. We provide this service because we care about creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere for our Christian singles members.

We will review your photo as swiftly as possible. To ensure that your photo gets approved quickly, please make sure you follow the photo guidelines listed.


How do I edit or remove my profile?
To modify your profile, go to your "My Home" page. Click the "Manage Your Profile " link, then click on any of the "Edit" buttons that appear next to your profile information. When you've finished editing your profile, simply click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.


How do I see my own profile?
From inside the members area, click on the "Username Search." Type your username in the "Username Search" box and click "Submit." You'll see your profile listed in search results. Click your username to see your profile as it appears to other users.


My profile has disappeared. Can you tell me where it went?
Your profile may have been removed from the Christian dating service because of its contents. If so, you will receive an e-mail explaining the reason. If you receive one of these e-mails, you may edit your profile, remove the unacceptable content and re-submit it.

I don't have a digital photo. How can I add my photo to my profile?
If you have a "regular" photo (a photo that has been developed and printed on photo paper) but don't have a way to digitalize it, we can help. Simply mail your photo to:

We will make a digital copy of your photo and send it to you via e-mail. You will then be able to upload your digital photo to accompany your profile.

Please make sure to include your username, physical address, phone number and e-mail address with your photo. This offer applies to printed photos only. No negatives will be accepted or processed. Photos violating our Photo Guidelines or Terms of Service will not be digitalized. Originals will be returned only if a self addressed stamped envolope is sent with photo, we will not be responsible for lost or damaged photos.


Do I have to upload a photo?
While a photo is not required, profiles with photos have a much higher chance of getting noticed -- and of receiving responses -- than those without photos. Most members regard photos as the most important part of their online search for love. A great photo shot helps to project your personality and gives your profile a personal touch. Don't be shy. Upload your photo today!


How do I upload my photo?
From your members home there is a link called "add your photos" in the manage my profile section . Click it and follow these steps:

  If you have a digital picture of yourself saved on your computer, click the "Browse" button in the "Add My Photo" box. (If you don't have a digital picture, we can digitalize a photo for you. See above for more information.)
  Clicking "Browse" will generate a window that allows you to see the files on your computer. Using this window, you can navigate through your computer's hard drive to find where your pictures are stored on your computer.
  Click on the name of the picture you want to add to your profile, then click the "Open" button. After you've made your selection, the window should disappear and you should see some text appear in the box above the "Upload Photo" button.
  When you are satisfied that the photo you have selected is the one that you'd like added to your profile, click the "Upload Photo" button under the browse box.

If you do not like a photo, you can access our "add / edit photo" page to add or delete a photo at any time.


What are the guidelines for my photo?
Before photos are approved, they go through our screening and approval process to ensure a safe and pleasant online environment. If you'd like your photo to be posted as quickly as possible, please remember that this is a Christian dating service and follow these guidelines:

  Sexually explicit or offensive photos are not permitted.
  You must appear in your photo.
  Your photo's file size should not exceed 200KB.
  Your photo must be one of the following standard file types: JPG,GIF,BMP,TIF preferably JPG format .

Will I be notified when my photo is approved?
You will receive an e-mail when your photo has been approved and added to your profile.


How long will it take for my photo to be visible to other Christian dating service members?
Please allow 24 hours for us to approve your photo. Once it is approved, it will immediately be visible to other Christian singles.


I was unsuccessful at uploading my photo. What happened?
If your photo didn't upload, or if you received an error page during the photo upload process, it's possible that your photo does not meet our guidelines. Please make sure your photo is a JPG,GIF,BMP,TIF preferably JPG format and that its file size does not exceed 200KB.


Can I include more than one photo in my profile?
Yes, but only one will appear in your profile, but under your pic in your profile there is a section called more photos so the other members can view the rest of your photos.

How do I search for a match?
There are four ways to search for a match:

  1. Quick search: Gives you a quick and general list of matches in your area.
  2. Keyword search: Use keywords in your search to find your match.
  3. Username Search: You can use a members ID to search for a specific user.
  4. Advanced Search: Allows you to get more specific about what you want in a match.


What is the difference between search and My Matches?
Searching gives you a list of users who closely match the criteria you selected at the time of your search. My Matches provides you with a list of users who fit all of the criteria you selected when you created your profile.


How do I view My Matches?
Just click the "My Match" link at the top of all pages.


How do I change the types of results I receive in My Matches?
Simply edit the "My Match" section of your profile. To do so, go to your "My Home" page. Click the "manage your profile" link in the manage my profile section.

Clicking this link will take you to the "Edit Profile" page, where you can edit your own profile information as well as the criteria you specified for your perfect match. When you have finished editing your "My Match" criteria, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to save your edits.


How do I increase my number of my matches results?
You may have been too specific when selecting your "My Match" criteria. Edit the "My Match" section of your profile to broaden your options and get more results. .


What does the "Online Now" message mean?
The "Online Now" message alerts you that a user is currently signed in and using EquallyMatched. If you see this message next to someone's username, it is probably the perfect time to send that person an e-mail, or a smile!

How will I know if someone is trying to contact me?
An e-mail alert will be sent to your "regular" e-mail account whenever another EquallyMatched user contacts you. (Your "regular" e-mail address is the one you supplied when you registered.)

Just click the link in the email alert (or copy and paste it into your Web browser) and supply your password when prompted. Once your password is verified, you'll be taken to your home page, click on the "message center" link and you will be taken to you personal message center, where you will see the message that you received. To read it, click on its subject line.

To change the e-mail address at which you receive email alerts, visit your "Account Settings" page. There, click the "Personal Information" link at the top of the page and follow the steps as prompted.


Someone has sent me a message. How do I locate this person's profile?
From your Inbox, click on the profile Icon that appears in the "Sender" column.


How do I contact other Christian dating service members?
Click the "Mail Center" link at the top of all pages. Then, click the "Compose" button, enter a username in the "To" field, type a subject line and message, and click "Send."

You can also contact a user from his or her profile or from your favorite or smile list by clicking the "Send E-mail" button or link. In these cases, the username will be pre-filled in the "To" field. Just type your subject line and message, then click "Send".


Is the e-mail I send to other users anonymous?
Yes, our mail system has been especially created to retain your privacy and keep your e-mail address confidential. Your real name and e-mail address will never be revealed to other users.


If I send a message to another Christian dating service member, can I recall it before he or she reads it?
No, once you send a message, you will not be able to recall it.


Can I send e-mail to or receive e-mail from non-EquallyMatched users?
No, you can only send e-mail to or receive e-mail from EquallyMatched Christian dating service mail accounts.


How do I save my e-mail messages?
You don't need to take any special steps to save your e-mail messages. All messages will automatically remain in your Inbox until you specifically delete them. But you can select the checkbox to the left of the sender's username and click "Move to" and specify where you would like to move it. To delete a message, select the checkbox to the left of the sender's username and click the "Delete" button.

You can also save copies of the messages you send to other Christian dating service members. When composing a new message, just make sure to "Save as draft" before you hit the "Send" button. To view and send the message, click the "Drafts" link pick the email you want to send then view it and hit send message.


How do I delete my e-mail messages?
From your Inbox, select the checkbox to the left of the message you wish to delete, then click the "Delete" button. Any message you delete in this way will then be moved to your "Deleted Items" folder, where it will stay until it is permanently deleted.

To permanently delete a message, click the "Deleted Items" tab. Then select the checkbox to the left of the message you wish to permanently delete, and click the "Delete" button.


How do I report abuse?
If you feel that another EquallyMatched user is harassing you, approaching you in an offensive manner, or sending you e-mails that contain marketing messages or promotional content, report that abuse to us by sending an e-mail to abuse@EquallyMatched.com.

In your message to us, please supply the username of the person you feel is abusing EquallyMatched's services. Also include samples of correspondence from the allegedly abusive user and information regarding the frequency of the abuse.

My Favorites and Smiles

What is my favorites?
Your favorites lets you keep track of the EquallyMatched Christian dating service members whom interest you. To add new members to your Favorites, just click "Add to Favorites" from any profile, and you can use the Comment section to make notes for your personal reference.

What is smiles?
You can send smiles to other EquallyMatched Christian dating service members who interest you. To send a smile, just click "send me a smile" from any profile, then use the pop up window to add a subject and tell them something nice. You can click on the smiles link at the top of all pages anytime to manage the smiles that you received.

What type of mail will I receive from EquallyMatched Christian dating service?

  Alerts when other EquallyMatched Christian dating service members send you a smile, email message, and so on.
  Occasional e-mails updating you about EquallyMatched services.
  If you haven't visited EquallyMatched in a while, we may send you a reminder about your account.


How do I unsubscribe from the e-mails I receive from EquallyMatched?
It's easy! If you don't want to receive certain e-mail announcements from us, go to your "Account Settings" page, click "Change My E-mail Preferences," then deselect the checkbox next to the announcement you'd like to stop receiving.


How can I change the e-mail address at which I receive EquallyMatched announcements?
From your "Account Settings" page, click on "Personal Information" link at the top of the page and follow the steps as prompted.
